AVS Media Player is a simple media player to play audio and video files. It is easy to use, and quick to learn. It supports almost all image, audio, and video formats. Attractive interface with easy navigation is its peculiarity. The menus are located at the bottom of the window. You can add multiple files in a single play list. It also allows you to drag and drop the files. The application can create slide shows of the listed images, and supports JPG, GIF, BMP, and many other image formats.
AVS Media Player is quite big to download, approximately 74 MB. However, it is very easy to install, and you quickly learn to operate it. I don't think any help is required for such an easy application, but there is a support file available in multiple languages. The application is compatible with Windows 2003, XP, Vista and 7. The package comes with video compression codecs.
In general, this is a useful application with great features, except for the fact that it doesn't support skins, like Winamp, Windows Media Player, etc. The application allows to change the window mode, though. And above all, it is free. |
